Beautiful composition of the swan family Heather, I have been waiting for this one. I agree with Yves, the blue water colour really does enhance the swan family. I like the foreground fringe of grass and the marsh in the background frame the overall composition nicely. Nice to see and hear the family is doing well. Lovely shot.

Thank you very much, Debra, I really appreciate your feedback. The lighting was perfect that day, I only wish they'd been closer but this year they've been keeping their distance, maybe due to predators. So far all the cygnets are thriving and I hope to see them soon again before they leave.

Love that shot Heather. I don't know how you got that colour of the water but it enhence the white swans family beautyfuly. Nice reflection of the pretty family. btw my eye is always drawn to the one with the black beak on the right. Great shot.

We had a nice soft blue sky that day which set the swans and their reflections off nicely. I wish I'd had a chance to get more shots of them all with their heads up but they weren't very cooperative :) Thanks for your comment, Yves, I always appreciate your feedback.

A beautiful family shot. Nice to hear all are doing well. I like how your focus in this photograph is directly on the swans. Nicely done

Thank you very much Clifford. I was lucky to get this shot since they were constantly moving as they fed but the best part was just to see them all doing so well.

Description
Four out of the six trumpeter swan cygnets feeding on the marsh. One was hidden behind them and the other was out of view. It won't be long before they join other family groups to prepare for their journey south.
